MUSIC & THEATRE
ABOUT ME
Born in East Texas but based in New York City, Justin's southern drawl is as thick as his love for music and theatre. First exposed to music through church and school choirs, his determination to pursue music culminated in him being his high school choir president, twice, as well as achieving Texas All-State Choir and Division 1 State soloist.
Justin went on to attend Tyler Junior College for General studies where he took private voice lessons under Dr. Nathan Russell and Andrea Trent. He was a recipient of the Melbourne Music scholarship during his time at TJC. While at the University of Texas at Tyler for Vocal Performance, Justin studied under Dr. Soo-Ah Park and Steven Dotson. He was a recipient of the Patriot Singers scholarship, Opera Scholarship, and two paid vocal internships at First Presbyterian Church and First Christian Church.
Since school Justin has gone on to perform in numerous productions. His theatre credits include Jesus in Godspell, Michael in Tick, Tick... Boom!, and Franz in Rock of Ages. When he isn't performing Justin can probably be found having great ideas for musicals or stories but forgetting to write them down, doing New York things like being late for lunch and saying the subway was delayed, or surprisingly enough... cooking!
